Sunday 12/10/2008
08:30 Departure from Syntagma Square, Athens. Drive
to Delphi, the ancient sanctuary of Apollo, the God of Light and Music,
via Thebes and Levadia. Visit of the museum, where amongst other treasures
you can see the unique bronze Charioteer. You will then proceed through
the sacred way to the Athenian treasury and visit the Temple of Apollo
and the Castalia Spring.
Dinner

Monday 13/10/2008
Following breakfast, departure to Kalambaka via Trikala.
Visit of Meteora, a geological miracle that has to be seen to be believed,
where you will visit the Byzantine monasteries, perched high on the steep
rocks. Each monastery possesses a vast richness of frescoes, icons and
intricate carvings.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Kalambaka. |

Tuesday 14/10/2008
After breakfast, departure for Larissa and drive through
the scenic valley of Tempi to Litohoro, at the foothills of Mount Olympus.
Visit to the museum and the archaeological site of Dion, the residence
of the twelve mythical Greek gods.
Transfer to Thessaloniki for overnight and start of conference on Wednesday

acoustics. The tour continues to the seaport town of Nafplion.

Olympic Games in classical times . There you will visit the archaeological
